I am enjoying this fine spring weather!  This photograph was a little early blooming in Westport over the weekend.  This morning, I biked to work up over the Manhattan Bridge and up the west side.  Getting myself out of bed before dawn required some self-motivation, but I think that the adrenaline rush and morning sunrises over the East and Hudson rivers made it well worth the effort.   Every New Yorker should see the Hudson river on a daily basis...particularly in the fresh morning breezes.

I took a film course at Boston College, and the professor had us discuss the Catholic themes in Hitchcock's The Birds.  One of the more prominent themes was that of couples -- in a nutshell, couples survived and singles did not.  I can't help but love this little pigeon, pest that it was.
